Playojo payments: how deposits and withdrawals actually work

Start playing

Playojo supports eleven currencies and a broad mix of payment routes — card, e-wallet, bank transfer and prepaid voucher — though not every method works in both directions. Withdrawals face a €10,000 monthly cap and are remitted only to the same method used for deposits. Wire transfers under €500 carry a €10 fee; over that threshold the operator charges nothing.

Before your first deposit

The minimum deposit varies by currency. For GBP accounts it sits at £10; EUR, USD, CAD, AUD, CHF and NZD accounts share a 10-unit floor in their respective currencies. DKK and SEK require 100 kr, ZAR needs R100, and RUB deposits start at 500 p.

We run no maximum on deposits themselves, but Fast Bank Transfer caps single transactions at 50,000 from your bank account. Card limits, where they exist, are set by the issuer rather than the operator.

Choose a funding method with your withdrawal route in mind. Prepaid vouchers and mobile wallets move money in but not out: PaySafeCard and Apple Pay are deposit rails only. To get paid you will need a card, an e-wallet that supports payouts, or a bank account on file.

Apple Pay and Interac e-Transfer are the fastest pairs when both deposit and withdrawal run on the same rail. Trustly clears withdrawals inside minutes, but you cannot deposit through it. AstroPay splits into Card (deposit only) and Wallet (withdrawal only), so treat them as separate products.

No method charges a fee from our side for deposits. Your bank or card issuer may apply its own charges — check with them before funding.

What moves money out

Withdrawals are remitted only to the same method used for deposits. When you fund by credit or debit card, at least the amount deposited must be paid back to that card where the network allows it. Online Wallet deposits return to the same Wallet account.

This routing rule means you cannot deposit by PaySafeCard and withdraw to Skrill — the payout will go back to whichever withdrawal-capable method you funded with first. If you have used only deposit-only routes, you will need to add a card or e-wallet to your account before requesting a payout.

Requesting a payout

  1. Log in and open the cashier or withdrawal section of your account.
  2. Select the method that matches your last deposit — the operator will not release funds to a different route.
  3. Enter the amount you want to withdraw, staying under the per-transaction and monthly ceilings.
  4. Confirm the request. Before your first withdrawal, you will be asked to verify your identity — see the section below on what that involves.
  5. The operator aims to process documents within 12 hours, though it can take up to 48 hours. Once cleared, the payout moves to your chosen method within the window that method states.

You cannot cancel a withdrawal once it has been approved and sent to the payment provider. Act before that point if you change your mind.

The wait explained

Processing time is the operator's own release window plus the payment route's clearing time. Apple Pay clears in seconds to minutes after release. Interac e-Transfer often lands within 24 hours. AstroPay Wallet takes 24 hours to 3 business days. Payz runs under 5 working days. Fast Bank Transfer completes within 3 business days. Trustly clears inside minutes.

Wire Transfer and card timings are not published, but card payouts typically take 3 to 5 business days after release. Cheques are used only for withdrawals under €5 and carry no stated timeline.

What slows it down

Your first withdrawal will wait on identity verification — budget 12 to 48 hours for document review before the operator releases funds. Requests submitted late Friday or over a weekend wait until Monday for processing to start; payment networks observe bank holidays and do not move money on those days.

Jackpot payouts at or above £50,000 may require an extra 14 days for processing, written into the terms as a security measure rather than a delay you can avoid.

Caps, fees and currency

There is no minimum amount for withdrawal — the operator will process any sum, though your payment method may impose its own floor. AstroPay Wallet withdrawal starts at $0, as does Interac e-Transfer.

The maximum withdrawal per transaction is €5,000. Beyond that you submit a second request. The operator caps total payouts at €10,000 every 30 days; winnings above that threshold are paid in monthly instalments of €10,000 until the balance is cleared.

What it costs you

  • Wire Transfer: €10 surcharge on withdrawals under €500. Over that amount the operator charges nothing.
  • Card, online Wallets, Trustly: no charge from our side.
  • Withdrawals made without prior real money activity: a 5 EUR fee applies if you withdraw before placing any bets with deposited funds.
  • Inactive accounts: if you do not access your account for 6 consecutive months, a monthly fee is charged. The amount depends on your currency — 5.00 for USD, EUR, GBP, CAD, AUD and most others; 20.00 for QAR, SAR, AED and PEN; 50.00 for HKD, NOK, SEK, DKK, ZAR; higher figures for MXN, THB, RUB, INR, ARS, JPY, NGN and CLP. Any OJOplus balance left unredeemed for 180 days is also removed.

We support eleven currencies: AUD, CAD, CHF, DKK, EUR, GBP, RUB, USD, SEK, ZAR and NZD. Choose your account currency at registration — you cannot change it later. Deposits and withdrawals in a currency your account does not hold may incur conversion charges from your bank or payment provider.

Identity checks

We verify your age and identity before releasing your first withdrawal, using automated and manual processes. You will be asked to upload documents through the Upload Docs page in your account's Personal Area — submissions by email or post are not accepted.

What you need to provide

For proof of age, send a copy of your passport, driving licence or an official ID card. For address verification, provide a recent utility bill or bank statement showing your name and current address. If you funded by card, upload a copy of the front of that card — you may blank out the middle eight digits for security, but the first and last four must be visible.

In some cases we will ask for a signed Deposit Confirmation Form, a credit card statement or additional documents to establish that your funds come from legitimate sources. Affordability checks may be required where your deposit or play history triggers a review.

Document review aims for 12 hours but can take up to 48 hours. Until verification clears, your withdrawal request will remain pending and no funds will leave your account.

When a payout is late or refused

The usual reasons: incomplete verification, a mismatch between the deposit method and the withdrawal route, or a payout above the monthly cap. Less commonly, the operator may hold a withdrawal to investigate account activity or to request proof of funds.

If your payout has not arrived within the stated window, contact support at the address on file with your account. Have the transaction date, the amount, the method you requested and any reference number shown on screen ready when you write. Our editorial inbox at [email protected] handles questions about this site's content but cannot act on account or payment issues — those go to the operator's own support team.
